Admission Frequency: Once a year
Educational Qualification
Passed 10+2 or equivalent exam recognized by the university
Candidates who completed 10+1 before 1986 are also eligible
Nursing Qualification
Must have a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) certificate
Must be registered as R.N.R.M. (Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife) with the State Nurses Registration Council
For Male Nurses (without midwifery training):
Must be registered as a nurse with the State Nurses Registration Council
Must have completed training (approved by the Indian Nursing Council) in any one of the following specializations:
Operation Theatre Techniques (O.T. Techniques)
Ophthalmic Nursing
Leprosy Nursing
TB Nursing
Psychiatric Nursing
Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing
Community Health Nursing
Cancer Nursing
Orthopedic Nursing
Other Requirement
Candidate must be medically fit
